Description
This paper marks the skin temporarily with removable ink during treatment with the Thermage CPT system to create a grid system that can help a practitioner evenly distribute radiofrequency pulses in all zones of the area they are treating. The equal distribution of the pulses of radiofrequency energy from the Thermage CPT system ensures that the aesthetic effects of the Thermage CPT system occur uniformly across a treatment site without giving rise to excessive surface irregularities or disequilibrium with the rest of the site. The skin marking paper comes in two different sizes: There is Thermage TK-0.25cm Marking Paper, which is suitable for use on the periorbital area and with the smaller Thermage Eye Tips, and there is Thermage TK-3.00cm Skin Marking Paper, which should be used on larger body areas with larger Thermage treatment tips. It is imperative that practitioners know which paper to use for the area of the body they are going to treat. The use of the wrong Thermage Skin Marking Paper for a certain area and indication may yield suboptimal results that would do little to address the patient’s aesthetic concerns. A single Thermage Skin Marking Paper should not be reused amongst patients, because of hygiene and efficacy purposes.
